MY DEBUT COOKBOOK, launching 28 June 2018
“A fresh and SIMPLE design-led guide
to healthy weaning for millennial parents (by a Millennial parent).”
Young Gums: A Modern Mama's Guide to Happy, Healthy Weaning sets out to demystify the conflicting advice many new parents receive about how and when to teach their babies to eat. An educational cookbook with 60 recipes accompanied by a raft of nutritionist-backed advice, principles, tips (including a weaning timeline, shopping lists and equipment recommendations) the book's goal is to inspire and empower parents to create interesting, delicious and varied baby meals easily, quickly and cheaply.
The images are shot in and around the author's family home in London Fields, an area that has in recent years become a global hot-spot for emerging food trends. And those food trends come alive throughout the book, made weaning-safe in pho noodle soup, weaning-friendly raw cake balls, baby-friendly burrito bowls, frozen paletas, spiced curries and tagines, mini slider burgers on homemade bread rolls, pancake stacks, brownies, blondies and banana bread. All without refined sugar, refined grains, or anything processed.
